Flooring choices

Respect Italian parquet while giving pets grip.

Parquet as the starting point

Many Milan homes — especially in Brera and older Navigli buildings — keep Italian parquet as a valued feature. Parent Love Club Homes designs flooring layers that protect the wood, improve traction for pets, and stay easy to clean for parents.

Rugs and runners that work

When hard surfaces need a rethink

If parquet is already worn or a renovation is planned, we discuss sealed wood, quality laminate, or tile in wet rooms — always with pet traction and noise for downstairs neighbours in mind. We do not push full replacement when rugs and care routines are enough.

Colour and atmosphere

Soft gray rugs calm busy living rooms; warm yellow accents appear as borders or small mats, not large loud fields. Ink-black frames and furniture legs ground the floor plane without darkening the whole apartment.

Indicative EUR: living-room rugs suited to pets often €180–€900 depending on size and fibre. Custom runners for long corridors are measured on site and priced per metre.

Cleaning routines we write into the plan

Every flooring schedule includes a short care note: frequency of vacuuming for pet hair, how to treat muddy paw prints, and when to call a parquet specialist. The goal is a home that stays presentable between deep cleans.
